I love pouring gravy over turkey and my mashed cauliflower. It gives extra comfort food flavoring that sometimes can be missed when you are making low carb dishes.

Before making this turkey gravy you will need to make a turkey, I suggest making a salt brined turkey or roasted turkey breast. If you are using another type of meat and making gravy then you will want to cook that meat first before making gravy.
How to thicken gravy with out adding carbs
When making low carb gravy we opt for using xanthan gum instead of flour. We have found that both coconut flour and almond flour are difficult to get that perfect smooth gravy texture that we love and it ends up with clumps of flour. Not the way I like to enjoy my gravy. I found that a teaspoon of xanthan gum was all I needed to get the thickness that I wanted, but if you want to make yours thicker then you can add a bit more.
Variations of this recipe
The great thing about this keto gravy is that the base recipe is very versatile. You can make this gravy with just about any meat flavors to pair with other recipes as well.
Keto Beef Gravy. Use beef broth and meat drippings
Keto Chicken Gravy. Use chicken broth and chicken drippings.
Not enough meat drippings? That is ok, you will want 1/2 a cup of meat drippings but if you do not have that fill a measuring cup with the drippings you do have and then add olive oil to it until you have 1/2 a cup.
No Broth? If you don’t have broth you can use bullion cubes to make broth.
Avoid clumping. Put the ingredients in the pot and then turn on the heat to avoid having the xanthan gum clump.
Making it thicker. If you want to make it thicker after you have heated everything up, add xanthan gum in a bowl with 2 tablespoons of broth and mix well. Then add to the heated pot and stir until it is the thickness you want.

Can I use almond or coconut flour as a thickener for keto gravy? I don't recommend using either of those flours as a thickener. Both almond and coconut flours will result in gravy with a gritty texture.
The water-soluble nutrient thickens sauces when whisked in cold liquid. Another alternative to consider is traditional cornstarch. Whisk it in a bowl with a splash of cold water before stirring it into your gravy.
This makes a total of 4 servings of 10 Minute Keto Country Gravy. Each serving comes out to be 277.25 Calories, 36.08g Fats, 1.82g Net Carbs, and 5.77g Protein.
Cornstarch and potato starch are the best options for gravy. Avoid arrowroot and tapioca starches because they can get "stringy" and look artificial in gravy. Cornstarch gravy is more translucent than flour based sauces. Potato starch gravy is more opaque than cornstarch, but less opaque than flour.
You have a few options for thickening keto sauces and gravies. Many people use xanthan gum, but it tends to have a slimy quality. It also clumps very quickly so you have to whisk it in quickly. Another possible solution is cream cheese, but this changes the consistency.
Creamy, pepper-seasoned gravy is a staple in southern comfort foods like biscuits and gravy and chicken fried steak. This diabetes-friendly version uses a vegetable oil-based margarine to reduce the saturated fat that's usually found in traditional gravy.
When looking for a healthier gravy alternative, seasoned yogurt is one of the best substitutes. Yogurt is a great source of calcium, a micronutrient essential for bone health and many other body functions. Plain yogurt also has a mild taste that lends itself well to a variety of dishes.
Keto practitioners incorporate a variety of different condiments into their diets, including hot sauce, low-carb BBQ sauce, sugar-free ketchup, mustard, ranch dressing, mayonnaise, guacamole, soy sauce, sour cream, and more.
These electrolytes are crucial for maintaining proper hydration and supporting various bodily functions. Additionally, coconut water is naturally low in carbohydrates and contains no fat, making it an ideal choice for keto dieters.
Cornstarch is a thickening agent often used to improve the texture of soups, sauces, marinades, and desserts. Each serving is high in carbs and calories but low in important nutrients like vitamins, minerals, fiber, and protein.
Almond flour is versatile — its nutty flavor and delicate texture work beautifully in all kinds of cookies, cakes, and breads. It can also be used as a gluten-free breading or coating for fried or baked foods. You can also use it as a thickening agent in soups, stews, and sauces.
Flour is a natural thickening agent and can be incorporated into your sauce with a few different methods (for a gluten-free option, you can also use arrowroot flour or a gluten-free flour blend like Bob's Red Mill's 1 to 1 or King Arthur's Measure for Measure). One way to thicken gravy with flour is by making a slurry.
Skinny Roux is prepared using avocado oil and almond flour, and cooked slowly until it is the perfect deep, rich, chocolate-brown color! It can be used in your gumbos, stews, and gravies, exactly how you would use a traditional jarred roux.
Almond Flour – This low carb, gluten-free flour works for adding bulk when recipes call for cornstarch. Start with substituting 1 tablespoon of almond flour for every tablespoon of cornstarch.
