Daphnis will be uploading the complete Mahler symphonies next year; I asked for No. 7.

2009 has come. How soon will Daphnis post the scores?? I really can't wait.. I'd buy them scores but I don't find them in Romania and Mahler is my favorite one...

As long as non-PD U.S. scores will be blocked it seems pointless to upload any, so probably no Mahler scores from me until it's lifted.

Yes, from an earlier edition published before 1923.

I gather that the scores Daphnis has to upload are the critical edition scores, which would be subject to the laws on urtexts that carry shorter terms of copyright protection (i.e. maximum 30 years in the European Union). These scores however are still under copyright in the US owing to their copyright status there being "95 years from publication (after 1923)".

If you look at the pages for Mahler 1 and 2, you'll see the later date of the critical editions (1967 and 1970 respectively) result in US copyright expiration dates in the latter half of the 21st century (i.e. 2063 and 2066).

In the mean time, all of the complete Mahler symphonies are available relatively cheaply from Dover in earlier reprintings.

Just be aware that the Dover/Kalmus reprint of the 7th symphony is chock full of mistakes and omissions, so much so that the only reputable and usable edition is really going to be from the critical edition. But there again, if uploaded it will be unavailable for download for a while I imagine.

Oh-Oh!!! Sorry friends... I just checked and saw that this is the c1960 revised edition. (I guess that means 2011 in Canada and 2360 (small joke) in the U.S.A.

Well by all means, if it's the revised edition from the Kritische Gesamtausgabe, do post it!
