I'm afraid for Yusei Kikuchi, as his grasp has slipped over the last few weeks. After a 2.40 ERA through his first 10 starts, the lefty has tumbled, allowing 24 hits in 19.1 innings and posting a 5.12 ERA in his last four starts. With Boston's offense heating up, I'm fading the Jays.
While the second pick is mostly an odds play for me, some additional factors work in Los Angeles' direction. For instance, Dodgers hitters own a .763 OPS vs Rox starter Cal Quantrill. Freddie Freeman is also 6-for-12 lifetime vs Quantrill with three extra-base hits.

I’m focusing on two big-name NL squads for my Friday picks. I’ve got the Cubs (-116) due to their history of beating up on Cardinals SP Kyle Gibson. Chicago batters have a 1.013 OPS in 94 career at-bats against Gibson.
And, I like the Braves because the Rays’ bats are really cold. Tampa Bay batters have the sixth-worst team OPS over the last two weeks (.636).

My most confident pick today is the Pirates beating the Cardinals with SP Mitch Keller on the mound. Keller has allowed five total earned runs across his last six starts, lowering his season ERA down to 3.16. The Pirates have won Keller's last seven outings, too. He faces off against a Cardinals offense that ranks fourth-worst in baseball for runs scored.

The pick I'm most confident about today is this Yankees vs Royals under 8.5 runs.
Seth Lugo might be the best pitcher in baseball. The Royals righty has a 2.13 ERA on the season and has allowed over two earned runs in just one of his last eight starts. NY's Carlos Rodon is nearly as good, rocking a 3.08 ERA on the season and allowing over two earned runs in just one of his last six outings. That kind of pitching is an easy recipe for an under.

Moneyline
Moneyline betting is the easiest wager for a bettor to make when it comes to MLB picks. To win an MLBmoneylinepick, you only have to choose which team will win the game.
It’s simple –if you bet the Blue Jays moneyline over the White Sox and Toronto wins, you win your bet.
Runline
The runline is another name for apoint spreadthat you may be more familiar with in NBA and NFL betting. A baseball runline is almost always a 1.5-point spread.
The favorite will be -1.5 while the underdog will be +1.5. At the end of the game, if you take away 1.5 points from the favorite or add 1.5 points to the underdog and they end up winning the game,you win your MLB pick against the spread.
Totals (OVER/UNDER)
Another common wager across all sports is on thetotal, which is a bet on the total runs scored in the baseball game. You are simply choosing whether the final score will be OVER or UNDER that total. Betting the OVER/UNDER on a matchup is a great way to get started in MLB score predictions.
